Help Build a Safe Toddler Playground “Tot Lot” at Ballast Point Park
Ballast Point NA
September 03, 2008

The existing playground is enjoyed by many but is not safe for the youngest children. The Ballast Point Neighborhood Association (BPNA) is raising money for a toddler playground at Ballast Point Park and we need your help!

Our goal of $21,000 by January 2009 will fund a toddler-sized playset featuring a rockwall, shade canopy, additional swings, and picnic benches. The “Tot Lot” will be located north-west of the existing playground and is slated for construction beginning in March 2009. Funds received over the $21,000 goal will go towards a splash fountain!

Make your donation today! Checks can be made payable to “BPNA Tot Lot” and sent to PO Box 130677, Tampa FL 33681.

Donations of any amount are appreciated, but the follow amounts provide special benefits

  • $100 – Free membership to BPNA for a year
  • $1000 – Name recognition on a picnic table or trash receptacle
  • $1500 – Name recognition on a bench
  • $5000 – Special recognition at the park

Please join us at Cellini’s Italian Restaurant (5427 S. Bayshore Blvd) on Sunday, September 21st from 5-8:00pm for our first “Ballast Point Night” where a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Tot Lot. Future fundraisers will follow over the next six months. Stay tuned for details.

Please email or call Katie Guice at 813-784-4897 for more information or to be added to our e- mail distribution.
